At the time of registering an account, if you fill the Hompage field, you must include the complete link (with http (s): //) otherwise the form is not validated. This requirement is not indicated.

I'd say that is a bug in GNUSocial (https://notabug.org/diogo/gnu-social/src/master) , not in the theme "elbinario". Anyway, I'll do some tests tomorrow and will forward the bug if necessary.

Ok, I've just tried to create a test user. When indicating "example.net" in "Homepage", it says "Homepage is not a valid URL." at the top of the page. Screen capture attached.
